Hello (Cyber)World

Welcome to the dawn of a new web-age!

This blog intends to explore various topics focused on the current future state of the technology and innovations that are shaping Cyberspace and the security needed to protect it. We will (I say "we" as "you," the reader, are welcome to comment and further discussions) not only bring awareness to specific topics but also reflect on or theorize on what the next "big thing" is or should be.

About MacH3

My area of research and expertise centers around the Data Protection and Vulnerability Management disciplines of Cybersecurity. Within these disciplines, I cover such topics as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), including Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB) integrations with a concentration on data discovery, Data Access Governance (DAG) with a concentration on data classification, and Vulnerability Management (VM).

As a current doctoral student at Colorado Technical University with a serious interest in protecting data within Cyberspace, some posts undoubtedly will be influenced by coursework and research performed for my dissertation.  Likewise, I expect some of what I post or receive in feedback here will influence the direction of my dissertation.  In either case, the aim is to produce quality research and demonstrate thought leadership.

Futuring and Innovation

As for what to expect in the next several posts, you can count on topics that focus on the future and innovation of Cyberspace while I attend a course by the same namesake as this section title.  Again, I believe the information that I share here will be valuable and engaging as we consider the impact of change within an organization.  Identify organizational structures and social norms that can support and hinder future changes.  With that knowledge, we can make informed predictions on the industry related to Cyberspace trends and future directions.
